There is a new music site called digitalphile.com. It's an Mp3 downloading site for indie artists and labels. digitalphile.com is compared to a traditional on-line CD source with the big difference being that artists are selling their product as digital files. A plus is if artists have new (or old) recordings, or have run out of stock, or have unreleased tracks, or have alternate mixes, or have live tracks or even music put out on vinyl years ago, Digitalphile.com can help rejuvenate it and sell it to the world. The artists never run out of stock because they are selling Mp3s. One of the many features is music fans can buy individual tracks or entire albums. They can build custom CDs of just the songs they want culled from all of the Digitalphile.com artists. And the artist/label receives 100% of the net proceeds. There are lots of artist benefits: Inclusion in a 24/7 radio broadcast, a Back Stage Pass area to get sales stats, digital Flash postcards to e-mail to fans directing them to your page, an Artist's Shop where your fans can purchase T-shirts, hats and other ad specialty items emblazoned with your logo or album cover (at absolutely NO COST to artists, AND the artist will receive a commission on every sale), mailing lists, refer-a-friend, and other features. digitalphile.com is offering a full year free membership to Digitalphile.com (a $154.40 value) with a year of paid advertising in the Rhythm and News e-magazine which is shaping up to have many more subscriptions than the hard copy. A full page ad in Rhythm and News e-magazine [in glorious digital color and with links to your digitalphile.com page, and any other links you want, such as to the traditional outlets] costs only $25 per month and will direct the thousands of subscribers worldwide to the artist's Digitalphile.com page, where they can listen to samples and purchase music directly. Check it out!

Aarise Media, Inc. will release the soundtrack "Close Call" featuring established and up and coming Asian American artists April 8, 2003. Phillip Kim, President/CEO of Aarise states, "We are excited to join forces with Prime Media Pictures and share their vision for ÔClose Call,' which is a new genre movie. It deserves a groundbreaking soundtrack which reaches its specific audience." Close Call the movie is one of the first Korean-American feature films
to release in the U.S. Written and directed by Jimmy Lee, Close Call is a disturbing but accurate depiction following one teenage girl's downward spiral brought on by the breakdown of her family in urban America. This edgy coming of age social drama explores an adolescent's struggle in an underground world of chaos, and the generation gap between immigrant parents and their American-born children. The film stars Jeff Fahey (The Lawnmower Man, Outlaw, Apocalypse II), newcomer Annie Lee, and stage veteran Philip Moon (The Big Lebowski, The Joy Luck Club). Jimmy Lee, writer, director and producer of Close Call, adds, "Teaming up with Aarise Media, who knows exactly how to match the flavor of our film to the soundtrack, is one of the best choices I've made. Their talent and energy mixed with the anticipation and intensity of "Close Call" equals success." Close Call the soundtrack includes music from the movie as well as Bonus tracks, creating a collection of the brightest stars from the Asian American music scene. Releasing on Aarise, a new media company focused on highlighting the talents of Asian American artists, the Close Call companion CD provides an insider look into the youth culture and musical soundscape of Asian Americans today. For Close Call the Movie, contact Prime Media Pictures at 323-933-9532 or primemediapictures@yahoo.com. For Close Call the Soundtrack, contact Phillip Kim @ Aarise Media Inc.
818-980-9088 or artist@aarise.com. Watch the movie trailer for Close Call at http://www.closecallmovie.com. (Quicktime 6.0 needed) For soundtrack consideration, send a complete press kit and music CD Demo to:
