4Pat James - Its My Life
Circle Cross Music - CCM1450002-2
The second CD by this Phoenix based country crooner transports you back to the days when dusty western honky tonk music stubbornly thumbed its nose at corporate Nashville. What happened in the 70s has the same effect today in Pats talented hands. Laden with acoustic guitar, fiddle and pedal steel backdrops, Pats Elvis tinged but wonderfully rustic voice jerks tears from your eyes in Farewell Party while Im Gonna Be A Cowboy will have you s**t kickin all night. 1Felix & Petra Jarrar - Piano Pieces
Ten year old Felix and eight year old Petra are piano proteges from Connecticut who, if this CD is any indication, should become highly respected musicians. The pair adeptly handle classics from Mozart, Bach and Mendelssohn among others with poise and stunning grace. Even more incredible are the original compositions from the pair, who show maturity as well as innovation in how they evoke their classical influences. The CD also benefits tsunami victims and needy children.

4Julian - Cookie Cutter Girl
Cookie Cutter Records - CCR21405
Julian has that certain something you cant quite put your finger on. With so many female singer/ songwriters out there nowadays, you want to hear something a bit different and you get that with Julian. From the poignant ballad I Feel You to the power pop groove of Get The Picture, you sense a familiarity to the styles, but also notice Julian has enough songwriting savvy to do the little things that keep it fresh. Having a great voice that runs a gamut of emotions doesnt hurt either. URL: http://www.lynnjulian.com E-mail: julian@lynnjulian.com

5S. Stephen King - Rhythm & Royalty
  S. Stephen King infuses a guitar virtuoso personality ala Eric Johnson with healthy doses of soul & R&B. The lead track Pure Pandemonium is aptly titled with wicked guitar licks backed by a horn laced funky vibe. Special K has a laid back feel with more subtle but still stunning six string aerobics. Keepin It Real also showcases an ability to write songs with a listener friendly pop feel. Another collection of delectable music from the veteran Pennsylvania guitarist.

5Lana Lane - 10th Anniversary Concert - CD/DVD
Think Tank Media
This DVD/CD combo is a fitting history to one of prog rocks reigning divas, Lana Lane. Produced by Lanas husband Erik Norlander, who also provides his stunning keyboard work, this proves that Lana could very will be considered a prog legend. Vocally reminiscent of Hearts Ann Wilson, Lanas robust voice holds your attention throughout the performance. The intricate, intelligent but potent songs, mostly written by Lana and Erik take you on a wondrous journey through her career, with no less than phenomenal musical conveyance by the highly talented band. The bare bones put-you-in-the-front-seat video photography fits perfectly with the excellent audio production. With this package you can immerse yourself in the music and performance of Lana Lane, a rapturous experience for prog lovers and fans of great rock music in general.

2Llanfair P.G. - Three Again
This veteran Russian rock trio reformed in 2005 and fired up a collection of songs that could shake the Ural Mountains to their bases. Obviously weaned on western punkers like Iggy Pop and Black Flag with a slight nod towards Zeppelin, scorching guitar riffs and power rhythms drive the disc from start to finish. The Russian accented English in the vocals actually adds a bit of intrigue to the songs, as does the raw feeling to the production.
